When people ask if I believe in God (as if any of my beliefs are relevant), I hear "Do you believe hamburgers should be priced at one dollar or a dollar five?"-April 15, 2013
Some people suggest that people who write a lot are demon possessed. Could it that they have something to say? or that they love life and realize, unlike Don Giovanni, that the Commendatore could return at anytime?-April 11, 2013

Ayn Rand says that the rational mind is not automatic and if the mind denies the rational then it can not be persuaded by reason. Therefore, I must ask-Why is the use of force against the irrational mind is not a valid or justified course of action?-January, 2013

I like to think that I have generally behaved in a manner that is consistent with my knowledge and reasonable expectations. The lack of previous experience in similar situations, through no fault of my own because I have not experienced it, is possibly seen by others to be bad decision making. Therefore, a formula exists that predicts the successful outcome of decision making-
Personal knowledge + reasonable expectations + previous experience= successful outcome.
When my previous experience is zero and the outcome is not what was expected, the eventual critics, who did not offer any advice during the decision making process, have committed the greater sin, while my only "sin" is ignorance.-December, 2012

"You are book smart" has been said to me for many years-in an almost accusatory tone. But what is "book smart"? It can only mean that I know facts and this knowledge is different from others, who only know...what?-December, 2012
I feel uneasiness in church. Regardless what some people may say, I am not demon possessed-I can enter a church, be sprinkled with Holy Water without ill effects and can recite the Creed. My uneasiness comes from not being able to predict what other people may do or say should they decide to engage me. I can not predict how they might behave because they are irrational. I know this because they are in church.-December, 2012
The Pope sits on the Throne of Saint Peter as the Vicar of Christ. Even he can not change natural law. A subset of natural law is the ability to make contracts. When a married couple decide to use birth control, this is a verbal contract. Therefore the Pope has the authority to suggest not to use birth control, but he does not have the power to take this contract making ability away.-December, 2012

"Lucifer, the son of the morning? It is he who bears the light, and with its splendors intolerable blinds feeble, sensual or selfish souls? Doubt it not!" The light or reason blinds the feeble, sensual and selfish. Enough said.

What happened to the cult of Caesar. We are led to believe it was replaced by the cult of Christ. Could Caesar have been the third degree of a mystery religion? We have individual known for mercy throughout the world who is killed a conspiracy by those he has saved.
"The president is coming to Kroger's", I said to an apprentice. The nephew, going on that I said alone, mistook "the president" for "the President". The assistant knew that I was At Kroger's, so it was unnecessary to be explicate. This is how people speak-many assumptions are not stated, but must be gleaned from the context and personal experience of the other individuals speak. If it is difficult to follow the spoken word, what unknown assumptions do Egyptologists encounter when translating hieroglyphs?-December, 2012
When I wonder if this existence has any worth, I recall that the Haute takes care of its own. Therefore, in some unforeseen and unknowable manner, this suffering will be a benefit to unknown individuals in the future. my faith of the mysterious nature of Terre Haute is based on my knowledge of historical facts or trivia, so my faith is well founded.-December, 2012
